Wrap a Bottle or Boxed Gift: Trial Workflow
- Measure the packed item, including any cap, handle, retail box or protruding edge. Protect surfaces that could be scratched and check whether a separate tissue interleaf is needed.
- Choose a roll width that can cover the intended part of the item. Cut a trial length; gently stretch the paper so the cells open without tearing it.
- Roll the item through the opened sheet. Add overlap where the ends meet and check that the top, base and corners are adequately covered. A shaped bottle may need a different cut length from a rectangular gift box.
- Place the wrapped item in an outer carton with the additional inserts or cushioning the item requires. Check for movement, contact with the carton walls and contact between multiple items.
- Repeat with the actual packing team and route. Record cut length, time per pack and any damage or loosening; adjust the method before choosing roll quantity.
The supplier images show wrapped gifts and a bottle inside a carton as application examples. They do not provide a drop-test result or prove that one layer is sufficient for every bottle.
Compare the Listed Roll Options
The supplied product sheet lists widths of 30, 38, 40 and 50 cm; lengths of 30, 50, 100, 200 and 250 m; and natural, black and white at 80 gsm. These are catalogue references. Confirm current width–length–color combinations, paper weight and tolerances in the quotation. Another image shows green and red examples, but does not confirm those colors are currently offered.
| Choice | How to decide | Confirm before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Width | Trial the sheet on the real item to check coverage across its height or circumference. | Chosen 30 / 38 / 40 / 50 cm option and usable paper width. |
| Roll length | Measure paper consumed per packed item during a trial. | Nominal length, measurement method and quantity in rolls. |
| Color and paper | Consider presentation and any surface-contact needs. | Current color, 80 gsm specification, interleaf and sample. |
Estimate Rolls from a Packing Trial
Do not use a fixed “items per roll” figure. For an illustration, if a tested method consumes 0.8 m per gift, a nominal 50 m roll gives 50 ÷ 0.8 = 62.5 theoretical cuts before waste, setup and variation. Use the actual measured consumption, then add an allowance based on your operation. The example is a calculation, not a production yield or coverage claim.
Know What the Material Does Not Prove
The expanded lattice can separate surfaces and add a wrapping layer. Its protection depends on paper specification, number of layers, carton fit, inserts, product mass and the shipping route. The supplied graphics make broad claims about impact resistance, strength, export treatment and environmental benefits without test methods or certification. We do not treat those as verified specifications. Ask for relevant evidence if such claims matter to your purchase.

Share the product dimensions and weight, fragility, units per carton, preferred roll width and length, color, quantity in rolls, destination, any interleaf or dispenser need, and the result of a sample packing trial. Ask for the confirmed paper specification, sample and carton packing details. The Honeycomb Paper Rolls page lists the current catalogue reference; color examples need separate availability confirmation.
