Custom Poly Mailers for Clothing Brands

For clothing founders planning a first branded run and apparel teams managing repeat orders: choose the pack around the garment combination, then agree who approves artwork, checks the filled sample and supplies bags to the packing team.

Can a clothing brand order 500 custom poly mailers with its logo?

Yes. Eligible Welltroy specifications start from 500 pieces per confirmed size, color and design. Send the fully packed garment dimensions and the quantity for each version. A total of 500 pieces split across different sizes or designs does not automatically meet each minimum.

One apparel project, three buying decisions

Use the people involved in your order, whether one founder covers all three tasks or a brand, factory and warehouse share them.

Brand and procurement

Confirm the logo, budget scope, quantity per bag version and arrival deadline. An eligible 500-piece minimum is confirmed per configuration; a combined order total does not settle every version.

Garment preparation and inner bags

Decide whether folding, separation or identification calls for a zipper inner bag. Measure the complete inner pack before choosing the outer mailer; approve the inner and outer products separately.

Operations and packing handoff

Map garment combinations to approved bags, labels and inserts. Confirm whether your brand, factory or 3PL supplies each layer and who approves changes or repeat orders.

Match the complete order

Choose a packing route for each apparel order

These are planning routes to review with your actual contents, rather than guaranteed protection or fit recommendations.

Order combinationPacking route to reviewWhat to measure or confirm
One folded T-shirt or other suitable soft garmentA fitted, unpadded poly mailer; add an inner bag only when the presentation or packing process needs it.Measure the garment with tissue, inserts and any inner bag. Check the opening, insertion and flap closure.
A sweatshirt, hoodie or other bulky garmentA larger flat mailer or another confirmed bag format; check a filled sample before choosing the size.Packed thickness and folded shape matter. Allow the item to sit naturally instead of relying on a tightly compressed measurement.
Two garments or a coordinated setPack the actual combination together. If items need individual presentation, measure them with their separate inner bags.Check the combined width, length, thickness and weight, plus movement and closure during handling.
A garment with a rigid accessory or gift itemAssess a cushioned pack, added protection or a box according to the complete contents.List sharp edges, crushing risk and fragile components. Plain poly film adds no bubble cushioning.

Keep your first run manageable

Map the order mix before creating many bag versions. A shared logo design may simplify the brief, while each size, color and artwork version still needs its own minimum confirmed.

Same garment, different retail sizes

Compare the actual folded packs first. Several garment sizes may fit one mailer, but this must be checked with the loaded sample.

One logo across two mailer sizes

List the quantity for each size and the logo placement on each. Ask whether artwork or setup changes between sizes.

Seasonal artwork or multiple collections

List each printed version separately. Ask about the minimum and setup for each before splitting the run.

Planning example: a T-shirt and sweatshirt launch

Keep a sample of each complete customer order: one T-shirt, one sweatshirt and the two-item bundle. Measure all three after adding your usual tissue and inserts. Ask whether one or two mailer sizes can cover the mix, then request a quantity breakdown per chosen size and logo version. This is a planning example, not a published customer result or a promised size recommendation.

Approve a pack that matches your fulfilment routine

  1. Load the actual garment combinations and confirm the usable dimensions, seams and complete closure.
  2. Compare the printed logo position, colors and sides with the approved artwork version.
  3. Apply the courier label to the filled bag and check readability, placement and adhesion under your intended handling conditions.
  4. Record the material, single-wall thickness, closure, quantity per version and agreed sample before releasing bulk production.

Questions About This Project

Can one poly mailer size fit both T-shirts and hoodies?

It may, but compare the complete folded packs and check a filled sample. Choosing only for the largest item can leave excess space for smaller orders; compare the size mix against your packing routine.

Does a 500-piece minimum include several bag sizes?

The minimum is confirmed for each size, color and design. Provide a breakdown instead of assuming a combined total qualifies for every version.

Should I put clothing in a zipper bag before the shipping mailer?

Use an inner bag when your presentation or handling process needs it, and measure the garment with that bag included. An inner zipper bag and an outer shipping mailer have different jobs.

Can I request zipper inner bags and poly mailers in one enquiry?

Yes. Choose Multiple products in the quotation form and list the inner and outer bags separately, with quantities per size, color and design. Confirm each product minimum and the sample arrangement; the combined enquiry total does not automatically satisfy every minimum.

What should I give my factory or 3PL when supplying branded bags?

Provide the garment-to-bag mapping, fold and inserts, inner and outer bag references, label locations and approved sample version. Agree who supplies the bags and who approves changes. The warehouse operating the packing process is not necessarily the buyer of the branded packaging.
